Collect energy revenues with ease
When using any Savi meter with the Nimbus AMI platform, you can accept energy prepayments using mobile money, cash and STS vending systems. Apply the tariffs you need to charge for energy usage, including flat-rate, step, and hybrid tariffs.
Savi meters adopt the latest STS standards for energy prepayment (including the CTS configuration used in some countries), and can receive STS tokens electronically. Time-of-use policies and configurable power limits are supported by the meter.
Secure reliable communications
Savi meters offer reliable, highly secure communications in any environment, through hot-swappable, modular communications such as 2G GPRS/4G, G3-PLC & RF-Mesh.
These options allow the meter to interface with the Nimbus AMI platform directly via GSM, or via Data Concentrator Units (DCUs) over a mesh network.
All communications are secured using AES-128bit encryption.
Sell energy anywhere
Savi meters can be used in many different locations and types of distribution grids and mini-grids and are capable of being installed either outdoors or inside customer premises.
Single phase meters are available in 60A and 100A models. Meters can be factory assembled into enclosures with ancillaries for faster meter installations.
Multiple security features
It offers multiple security features, including terminal cover removal detection and magnetic field manipulation detection, and records all alerts in logs, even during outages, to protect the meter from fraud or tampering. Alerts are automatically sent to the management software.
Never lose data
Data is never lost as the meter securely stores all registration and configuration data to non-volatile memory. 12 months of usage and billing data is the typical memory capacity. All stored data is retained for the life of the meter.
